Gel Nails

Hello Friends,
I have to THANK everyone for their warms remarks and continuous support about making cards and being crafty.
The last blog entry I spoke of my daughter who did my nails. I’ve received some requests to show her talent.
Here is the first set she did for me a few weeks ago.
Then she did a beautiful purple set for me, which I don’t have a picture of at this time. (sorry)
Here is the set she did for me this weekend! I love them! I love earth tones and I love this brown.
The next set that she is going to do for me is a very pretty Christmas red. I believe it’s called Dorothy’s shoes. (like in the Wizard of Oz movie) That one will be pretty sparkly too J
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Up Against A Brick Wall

Hello Friends,
We have had a beautiful weekend. Not only has the weather been great but we got a pleasant visit from my daughter and son-in-law. My daughter spoiled me and did some gel nails for me. They look fabulous.
Of course, after getting my nails done…I had to put them to work. AND work is what they did!
This card took me a few hours to make. First, I had to pick out the colors I wanted, design the background of the brick wall then do the wreath, which I think turned out pretty good.
What do you think?
Here is the inside.
I know I’m not the only crafter/stamper out there that spends hours on a card. It’s so rewarding in so many ways!
Thanks for stopping by!

BELIEVE - Gold & Silver Embossing

Hello Friends,
It’s another beautiful snowy day here in Alberta, Canada. The kids are off to school. The woodstove is providing a comforting heat that fills the house on this beautiful crispy day.
I was going through my cards and wasn’t sure what to post today as there are so many to choose from. Pondering on that, I decided to share with you a card that I CASED with a fellow demonstrator. Her name is Mary Fish. She is one of my mentors in card making.
Here is the one that I CASED from her:
Here is the one that I changed up a bit….using Silver embossing powder instead of Gold.
I find the Gold embossing with the Very Vanilla gives a warm feeling of the snowflakes, while the Silver gives that crispness of winter that comes this time of year. Kind of like what I’m experiencing today with the crispness of outside and the warmth of inside. Both are a great experience.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Northern Lights

Hello Friends,

It’s another BEAUTIFUL day. The night skies are pretty too.
That leads me to an image I made about the Northern Lights!

I started with these two images and wasn’t sure whether to add it to a card or make something else out of it….

So, I put them in a frame.  It goes well with our winters here in Alberta, Canada.

I followed a tutorial that I seen online by a lady named Melissa Banbury. She did a great job on her explanation on how to do this.

I’m tempted to do a card class on this. Message me if you are interested!

Thanks for stopping by!

Smiles & Blessings,
Tammy

Texture Boutique Embossing Machine

Due to our partnership with Sizzix, we are pleased to be able to offer a test run of the Texture Boutique Embossing Machine in our North American markets. We have 4,000 available to be sold only while supplies last. If this product test goes well, we may offer the Texture Boutique again in the future.

The Texture Boutique works with Textured Impressions Embossing Folders to transform ordinary cardstock, paper, metallic foil, or vellum into an embossed, textured masterpiece. This machine embosses only; it does not die cut. Because this is a product test, the Texture Boutique is not branded with the Stampin' Up! logo. It comes in Sizzix packaging and is the same color and design that is sold in stores. We recommend you read the included instructions before using the Texture Boutique and that you pass the same recommendation on to customers who purchase it.

'Tis the season of giving, and the Texture Boutique makes a wonderful gift for anyone who wants to create their own elegant embossed art. To help you with your gift-giving needs, we're offering a special value bundle that saves you $10.90. If you prefer, you can also purchase the Texture Boutique alone. Looking for stocking stuffers? Pick up some additional embossing folders.
