WHO LOVES CAMPING?!!

Good Day Friends,
WHO LIKES CAMPING??
We love camping! We love it so much that we winter camp….I know crazy eh?...
We are members to this wonderful campground called Wilderness Village in Alberta, Canada. We love spending our summers there.
I made this card keeping that place in mind. The stamp set is called ‘The Great Outdoors”.
SSHHHHH! Don’t tell anyone but there is a gift card inside for a two night stay with us at this campground. (2 pools, 3 hot tubs, petting zoo, playground, fun shack, store, wagon rides, ice cream, ATV trails…BUT most of all US!)
I’m looking forward to making more with this stamp set as there are a few other stamps in this set I have yet to try. Like the tent, roasting a wiener, ant, flashlight, cooking pot and a lantern.
Have a fantastic day!

NO PEEKING!

Hello Friends,
It’s the weekend again. It seems the days go by faster and faster….lol…must be the age thing…
Anyways, I always seem to find time to do a few cards.
This is my first go around with NO PEEKING stamp set.
What do you think?
Here I thought I was almost complete in doing my Christmas cards….I guess not. But that’s okay because I love doing them. Today I mailed 63 Christmas cards…and still counting!
Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Card Left Overs & Ragged Quilt

Good Day Friends,
WOW, it’s already December! It’s so exciting. Christmas is just around the corner.
I’ve been busy making Christmas cards.
I had a Christmas Card class a couple of weeks ago and had a couple kits left over. So, rather than making the same card…..you know it….. I created another card with a few changes.
Here is the card from the class.
Here is the card from the same kit but a few changes.
Hope you like them!
Not only have I been busy making cards and I’ve been busy making a ragged quilt for my daughter. We love to go camping so I made her a special camping blanket. I have two more to go, one for my other daughter and one for my son. That will keep me busy.
What do you think? I have yet to wash it so it comes out looking ragged J

VINTAGE - With a little POP of color - Masculine & Feminine

Good Day Friends,
It’s the weekend!! WOW, did the week go by fast.
Who likes VINTAGE?
And a bit of technique...sponging, embossing and watercolor...
Can you see more?
I would like to share with you a few of cards. They basically have the same background but one is masculine and the other is feminine.
Ok, the last one…. This one, again, has the same background/layout but it has a more VINTAGE feel to it by just wrinkling up the ribbon.

I did alot of sponging as you can tell. I also used black embossing powder for the images then used some watercolor technique as well.

What do you think?

Have a GREAT weekend!

Thanks for stopping by!

VINTAGE Faux Frame

Hello Friends,
Hope you are enjoying your week so far!
I thought I would share with you a THANK YOU card that I made for my sister-in-law.
She is a dear dear lady. This year she gave our family a gift of fall family pictures. WOW, did they ever turn out nice.
I wanted to show her our gratitude by giving her a THANK YOU card. She loves vintage just like I do so I gave her this card.
I found this new technique (to me) by Dawn Olchefske. It’s called Faux Frame. She made a beautiful card using that technique so I followed suit and made one very similar to hers but adding the vintage feel to it.

Hope you like it :-)
Thanks for stopping by!

Snowman Button Buddy

Hello Friends,
Another beautiful day in Alberta, Canada! Sun is shining and the snow is blanketed on the ground. So pretty!
I thought I would share with you what my daughter did at a card class that I was teaching. She too had a mini card class. There was another youngster there, so with the advanced notice, she did her own card class. She used the Notes with Envelopes along with the Button Buddies!
Here is her card.
What a great card for kids! They had so much fun. Not only that, she earned a little bit on money to put towards her Christmas gifts that she is going to buy this year. Did I mention that my daughter is only 9 years old. I am so pleased and proud of her!
Thanks for stopping by!
